Dr. Kenichi Furihata

P1 Clinic’s Executive Director, Dr. Kenichi Furihata, has dedicated his life to expanding our understanding of the human body and its interactions with medicines.

After graduating from Japan’s top medical school, Keio University School of Medicine, he spent more than a decade as a hematology researcher at one of America’s finest institutes: Scripps Research. In 2005, he returned to Japan to found P1 Clinic. Over the past 15 years he has overseen over 200 clinical trials involving more than 5,000 subjects, in all phases I-IV and dozens of treatment areas.

2007 Establishes Keikokai Medical Corporation to manage P1 Clinic, becomes chair of the board of trustees

2009 Visiting professor, Tokai University School of Medicine

2015 Adjunct professor, Keio University School of Medicine
